LOGARHYTHM
Hailing from the eastern suburbs of Mumbai, Mainak Ghosh AKA Logarhythm is a Rap artist, lyricist, songwriter and music composer. As a youngin Mainak discovered his love towards Rap music through Linkin Park's early albums. Mainak credits Mike Shinoda as his earliest influences in Rap from which he further discovered the world of Hip Hop.
Way before Rap, Mainak would often write poetry while in school and sooner learned the similarities between the two artforms. This understanding helped him to advance his interest in music. Born in a culturally oriented Bengali Family, Music, Football and Art has always been a traditional interest since generations.
After graduating with a degree in Bachelor in Management Studies and a diploma in graphic designing and animation. Mainak quickly applied for a job in a creative agency as a graphic designer, but his interest towards rap music and Hip Hop culture was steadily growing. Mainak finally dropped his debut Rap song called 'Insaaf' showcasing his raw lyrical skills based on Social topics. His friends, peers and family appreciated the content and urged him to make more rap on social issues. Mainak then introduces himself as Logarhythm which means the voice (rhythm) of the people.
Mainak started his career in 2018 by releasing songs on YouTube with his peers. In 2019 Mainak released 'Beat Pe Khatam', a single prod by Bluesanova which turned out to be the most-watched rap video on his YouTube channel. In 2020 Mainak released two major independent projects. A debut Mixtape titled 'Mayajaal' and a compilation album called 'R.O.O.T.S. - Rhymes On Oblivion Taped Society" which includes previously released singles. Mainak's influence derives from the likes of J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, MF Doom, Eminem, KRS ONE, Nas, Jay Z, Mike Shinoda, and Linkin Park. Mainak's poetic influence includes names such as Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Mirza Galib.
Along with having a solo career, Mainak is also a part of Mumbai's all-star Hip Hop collective 'Straight Up'. His mission is making bangla hiphop the next big thing all over the world and make the world amazed with the different culture form of hip hop is der in the diverse language in India #EbarBanglaHipHopBajbe . In the year 2020 he and his peers made a team for the video production and management called "91 DREAMS" initially aiming to create buzz through the in-house music with a forward looking approach . With a tagline
of "Hum Hai Hip Hop" which means "we are hiphop" he made his intentions clear about his future plans which involves in only making music till the last days. #LogarhythmBole
